Xeomin® incobotulinumtoxinA was approved by the Food and Drug Administration August of 2011 for cosmetic use, making it the newest alternative to Botox Cosmetic® and Dysport®.

Xeomin® a wrinkle relaxer, improves the appearance of facial wrinkles similar to Botox Cosmetic® and Dysport®.

This product is unique to Botox Cosmetic® and Dysport® because it is considered a "naked toxin," meaning that it does not contain complex proteins and is a more natural form of botulinum toxin type A.

The product has been used around the world since 2005 and was introduced to the United States by the Germany-based Merz Pharmaceuticals, LLC in 2010.
