CIT/Microneedling
Your Skin is Rebuilding Itself – But Stronger
At JMISKO, we offer CIT/Microneedling as one of our most trusted collagen-stimulating treatments. Our Lincoln, Omaha, and Sioux Falls providers use ultra-fine, medical-grade needles to trigger your skin’s natural repair process — producing new collagen and elastin for natural, lasting results. Whether you’re treating a specific concern or investing in your skin’s long-term health, microneedling is foundational skin work that pays off over time.
What is Microneedling?
CIT/Microneedling is a collagen-stimulating treatment that uses ultra-fine, medical-grade needles to create micro-channels in the skin. This triggers your skin’s natural repair process, which responds by producing new collagen and elastin.
Microneedling helps improve:
- Fine lines + early aging
- Acne scars + texture
- Enlarged pores
- Uneven tone + pigmentation
- Skin laxity + thinning skin
- Overall skin quality + glow
Result: Smoother, firmer, healthier skin.
What to expect during treatment:
- Consultation – Your provider reviews your skin history and discusses your goals
- Prep – After arriving with a clean face, a topical numbing cream is applied for comfort
- Treatment – The microneedling device is passed over the skin in targeted areas
- Aftercare – Expect some redness and mild sensitivity for 24–72 hours post-treatment
Most patients see continued improvement over 4–6 weeks as collagen production builds, with optimal results after a series of treatments.
*Please note: microneedling is not performed on active infections, inflamed acne, or certain medical conditions. Your provider will review your skin history at your appointment.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ON CIT/MICRONEEDLING
How many sessions do I need?
Most patients start with a series of 3–6 treatments spaced 6–8 weeks apart, depending on their skin concerns and goals. Your provider will recommend a plan at your consultation.
What is the aftercare like?
- Avoid direct sun exposure and wear SPF daily
- Do not use active skincare ingredients (retinol, acids) for 5–7 days post-treatment
- Avoid intense exercise, saunas, or extreme heat for 24 hours
- Do not pick or scratch the skin during healing
- Keep skin hydrated with gentle, provider-recommended products
Who is an ideal candidate for a CIT/microneedling?
Microneedling is safe for most skin types and tones. It’s an especially great fit for:
- Acne-prone skin
- Aging / preventative patients (mid-20s+)
- Scarring + texture concerns
- Dull, thinning, or damaged skin
- Patients wanting natural collagen stimulation
Please note: microneedling is not performed on active infections, inflamed acne, or certain medical conditions. Your provider will review your skin history at your consultation.
Why do I need multiple treatments?
Think of microneedling as foundational skin work. When done consistently, it:
- Slows visible aging
- Builds long-term collagen reserves
- Improves overall treatment results
- Strengthens skin structure
- Keeps skin functioning like younger skin
It’s not just corrective. It’s preventative + regenerative.
Does it hurt?
A topical numbing cream is applied before treatment, so most patients experience minimal discomfort. You may feel some pressure or warmth during the session.
What is the downtime?
Expect redness, dryness, and mild sensitivity similar to a sunburn for 24–72 hours post-treatment. Most patients return to normal activities the next day.
Can I use Allē to finance my microneedling treatment?
Unfortunately, no. Allē’s financing program, Cherry, is exclusively for Allergan products such as BOTOX® and JUVEDERM® fillers and cannot be applied to microneedling treatments. Microneedling is payable in full at the time of your appointment via debit, credit, or cash.
